SHOW THEM HOPE...GIVE THEM A NEW BEGINNING

    Disasters are indeed devastating. Not just one but all of us can be it's target. It maybe natural or human induced but there's no certainty on what will it cause. So as citizens, especially us Filipino, how do we deal with their danger? What are our ways to cope up and help the victims recover from these disasters' scratches and damage.

  We've discussed this past first quarter about some environmental issues and one main focus is these disasters? We've learned that the Philippines (our country) is a disaster prone country due to it's location which is positioned on the Pacific Ring of Fire is where most likely volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and typhoons have taken place.

   We've encountered and suffered from numbers of typhoons these past years. There's the Super Typhoon Yolanda and Ondoy where they had given a big burden to our fellow Filipinos. The Super Typhoon Yolanda which happened lately in Visayas particularly in Tacloban, Leyte had caused death to thousands of people, damage on structures , agriculture and affected their living. As of now they are still recovering from this traumatic incidence. It's hard for them to forget what had just happened. It gave a big scar in their lives that even a part of the family had to leave. The victims of it couldn't easily become resilient but we had our culture "Bayanihan" o "Pagtutulungan". With this we work together and help them to cover on a new beginning. We donate and give goods or other needs for our fellows. There are also different programs of the government that enable them to start again like the free house and lot for a family.

   In facing calamities, being prepared, ready and calm is a big MUST. So that there will be lesser amount of damage or casualty. With our cooperation with each other not only the government itself, no victim could feel alone and hopeless. Instead they'll be engaged to formally start all over again.

REFLECTION

SHARE WHAT YOU’VE GOT!

I am not really fond of using the internet during my leisure time. Most of the time, I use internet whenever I have assignments in schools like searching definitions of such terms, types or kinds of something connected in our lesson and etc. And I know this is not just important to me as a student but then Internet also gives benefits to all of us. This first grading of our Grade 10 ICT subject focuses on internet. And I admit, I have learned more about Internet. Wherein, it develops our mental ability towards the data from different resources. I also have learned that Internet enhances one’s social dimension through this, on what I am doing, which is the blogging. Because during our discussion, it states there that blogging promotes interaction where in you could share your thoughts. And I together with my classmates did that. I have also learned how to do browsing through search engines to have a lesser, more accurate results on what we wanted to look for. Moreover, ICT 10 first grading also taught me to share what I’ve got.

Knowing that I am not that aware of some Internet topics, I’ve also face challenges this quarter. One is that, I am not familiar of those types of search engines like ask.com, torch, internet explorer and etc. I’ve also experienced. Another is I have to analyze each of the topics to be more familiarized with it.  And there is also a time wherein it’s hard for me to analyze the topic.

I was able to cope up on these problems with the help of my classmates and also my big brother. Through, asking them to explain more about the discussion in school like for example the different search engines. Because all I know there is the Google. And to be more aware of it, I’ve also done searching and trying the different typed of search engines and it is a big help for me.

Moving on, I will not just keep this thoughts and learnings by myself. Instead, I’ll also share them with my other friends, my little siblings or maybe schoolmates. I will use these gathered knowledge for motivation and self-improvement. I can apply this through my studies and also, these learnings can be another tool for my future.

FILIPINO: WIKA NG SALIKSIK

 Buwan na naman ng Agosto at ano nga ba ang taon-taon nating ipinagdiriwang tuwing sasapit ito? Tama ka't ngayon muli ang Buwan ng Wika. Ngayon tayo'y muling pagbubukludin ng Filipino, ang ating pambansang wika. Para sa tema ng taong ito:" Filipino: Wika ng Saliksik", ano nga ba ang pinahahalagahan nito?

 Wikang Filipino ay likas na sa ating mga Pilipino. Minulat na tayo ng ating mga ninuno dito noon pang unang panahon. Ang ating wika ay nagagamit sa pakikipagtalastasaan, paggawa ng sanaysay o kaya naman ay mga kasulatan (tulad nito). Maaaring ito'y pasalita kung ipahayag o pagsusulat. Mabisa rin ito bilang pagpapakilala sa ating mga sarili bilang mga katutubong Pilipino at upang maibahagi ang ating kultura't mga tradisyon. Napakalawak na ng sakop nito sa mga awit man, maikling kuwento, tula, sanaysay, epiko, dalit, at iba pa. Ginagamit ito sa pagpapahayag ng mga opinyon at kuro-kuro ng bawat mamayan sa ating bansa at kanilang mga saloobin hinggil sa mga iba't ibang paksa. 

 Gaya nga ng mga nasabi, at lalo na sa tema, pinahahalagahan dito kung ano ang naipaparating sa atin ng ating wikang pambansa. Ayon nga sa tema, Filipino: Wika ng Saliksik, ang wikang Tagalog ay nagbibigay sa atin ng pambansang karunungan at kaunlaran. Nagbibigay karunungan sa atin upang matuto, maunawaan, makapagbuod o kaya naman ay mangatwiran sa mga bagay- bagay sa ating paligid. Nakapapangalap rin tayo ng mga impormasyon gamit ang wikang Tagalog hindi lamang sa wikang Ingles na gaya na lamang ng ating mga naisasaliksik sa Internet. Mayroon ring mga luma o mga bagong libro na tumatalakay sa mga iba't ibang paksa na tulad na lamang ng kasaysayan, wika at gramatika, mga paksa patungkol sa paagpapahalaga, kaugalian at pagpapakatao, tungkol sa mga hayop, ating mundo, mga tao, mga halaman at marami pang iba. Sa ating paaralan na lamang, ang Filipino ay ang pinakamadalas na gamitin sa pagtuturo ng mga guro kung saan natututo ang mga maag-aaral na tulad ko.

Sa karunungang ito, maaaring umunlad ang isang indibidwal at pati na rin ang ating bansa. Nagiging mas makabuluhan ang karunungang nakalap sa paggamit nito sa sarili nating pag-angat gamit ang pagpupursigi at pagsisikap sa buhay. Tulad na lamang sa pag-aaral, magiging mas madali para sa atin na makibahagi sa talakaayn kung may nalalamaan tayo patungkol sa paksa. Gamit ang mga impormasyong nakuha sa pag-aaral mas nagiging malawaak ang ating kaalaman sa mga bagay-bagay. Lahat ng ito'y maidadala rin natin sa hinaharap at maaaring gamiting susi sa pagkamit ng iyong tagumpay sa buhay. Hindi lang ikaw ang magtatagumpay kundi pati rin ang iyong kapwa patungo sa inyong minimithing pangarap.

Ang karunungan ay hindi nagbabago at mananatili sa iyo. Nasa sa iyo kung paano mo ito gagamitin para sa iyong sarili, kapwa at sa iyong lipunan. Hindi naman ito mawawala, maaaari lang naman itong magbago ng anyo sa paglipas ng panahon ngunit ito'y nariyan pa rin at buo palagi ang nais ipabatid.
